Governance

The seven city and district councils that make up the Auckland region publish an annual draft of their strategic plan. The Chamber makes submissions, which affect those plans and encourage councils to create positive environments for business success and economic growth. The Chamber also assists individual industries and businesses with concerns regarding local government issues.

The Chamber makes regular submissions to select committees considering prospective legislation, which may impact upon industry interests. These include issues that affect tax, health and safety regulations, compliance costs, and employment and employer interests.
