Programme Coordinator / Administrator

The Chamber of Commerce is a not for profit organisation which provides support services and networking opportunities to our member businesses – simply put we exist to help businesses do business better.

responsibilities of role

  • Each year, in partnership with Government, our Employment Division assists businesses by linking them to a great range of job seekers. The focus of this pivotal position is the management of the activities required to ensure the successful delivery of a number of government contracts that enable us to link seekers to employers and vice versa. This will incorporate forward planning, process improvements, execution of the day to day activities and monitoring and reporting on these.

  • This role provides an opportunity for you to use your outstanding customer services and people skills as you will be actively involved in the front-end of our service delivery interacting confidently with employers, candidates and stakeholders. You will also provide the necessary back office administration support to ensure effective processes and procedures are carried out and contractual obligations met.

The person we are seeking will have both an understanding of and empathy for job seekers such as migrants, sole-parents and those re-entering the workforce alongside an understanding of Employer and business needs. We are looking for someone who has the following:

  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable in dealing with a wide range of people.
  • Strong MS Office skills and a familiarity with CRM systems would be highly desirable.
  • High level of organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to take a quick and reactive approach using your initiative as required.
  • Able to analyse priorities and manage and delegate tasks and engage the assistance of team members where appropriate.
  • Ability to maintain excellent records, analyse data and prepare associated documentation and meaningful reports.
  • An interest in the not-for–profit sector as well as good understanding of commercial processes.
  • A strong team approach willing to support colleagues in a proactive and responsive way.
  • High level of motivation and proactive and positive approach.
